David Lynch INTERVIEW PROJECT JESS
Presented by David Lynch, filmakers Austin Lynch and Jason S took a 20,000 mile road trip across America to make Interview Project. Interviewee’s were selected for their presence on the side of a road or stool at the bar or wherever the crew found themselves. Lynch describes the project as giving the viewer “a chance to meet these people, It’s human and you can’t stay away from it” but more than that is the beautiful camera work and sound and the attention to detail poignantly reflecting the tales of the people. Sweet joy, Interview Project is now moving across Germany, bookmark the blog and expect more storytelling greatness.
Act Da Fool
Fashion designers Proenza Schouler have collaborated with Harmony Korine to present Act Da Fool and it is good. This short promotes their Fall/Winter 2010 collection and far from being a soulless exhibition, this 90’s “golden age” MTV inspired film uses it’s delinquint protagonists to run a comnmentary of their world and it just so happens the collection looks incredible. When asked about the ‘character’ that the clothes would play in the short, Korine replied “In the same way Groucho Marx’ mustache plays a role in his face” – so what do I know.
